She slid down the huge inflatable slide (five times!) and bounced like crazy in the bouncy house. When she was the only one in there she jumped in the middle, but whenever other kids were jumping she felt much more comfortable holding onto the net and jumping right by Mom and Dad. She just learned to jump with two feet a few weeks ago, and she's very proud of herself! :)

Since it was a Corn Fest, we of course ate some yummy roasted corn - she LOVED it. We've been eating a lot of corn throughout the summer, but she thought it was pretty neat to eat corn outside at the festival!

Today she reminded me about the music we watched (we sat in the shade for awhile and watched a local bluegrass band perform). She adored it! Her favorite song for a long time was "Oh Susannna", and I'd shown her pictures of a banjo - when they started to play she watched for a minute and then said, "Ohhh!!! He has a banjo on his knee!" It was so cute. We told her about all the different instruments they were playing, and she was just enthralled. Mindy and David, we'll have to plan on taking her to a show with you guys sometime - I know she'd love it! :)
I love these kind of community events, where all sorts of people - people who might not ordinarily have anything to say to one another - are mingling and having fun together. There's always such a feeling of excitement and cameraderie, which just doesn't happen in every-day, around-town life. Millie definitely picked up on all that fun energy, and she had a wonderful time!

SO sweet! That is one photogenic little beauty.
Isn't it fun watching those little hands wrangle a corn cob? Yum!
The top picture is just stunning - the blue eyes, sweet face and soft little critter... Too beautiful!
Hope you guys are well!
